Site News

2005-12-01: For December, as usual, the MP3 rotation is updated, this time with requests. There's also a new piece of work in the fan section. This is as good a time as any to remind you that you can submit your own Azumanga fan-works to this site by e-mailing the webmaster. Go on. You know you want to.

2005-11-01: Two new songs in the MP3 rotation make this a November to remember! Or not.

2005-10-01: Once again, it's time for my two favorite monthly tasks. 1: Pay rent. 2: Update the MP3 rotation. And once again, I'm barely succeeding in both! But at least I'm succeeding.

2005-09-01: September MP3 rotation is active. It's been a pretty hectic last couple months for me, so my plans for adding on to the site were again stalled. Expected addition of new content: Smarch 32nd.

2005-08-11: A mid-month update! Believe it! All I'm doing is announcing two affiliate sites, the previously linked, highly recommended Wonderland, and a brand new Azumanga Daioh fansite, Comic Friendship. In other news, I'll actually be meeting the webmistress of Wonderland (as well as seven or eight other good friends on the Wonderland forums) at Otakon 2005 coming up next weekend! Woohoo!

2005-08-02: August MP3s are up, plus a new fanart! Feel free to submit MP3 requests and fan works for posting to the webmaster!

2005-07-01: July is Osaka month in the MP3 rotation. Why? Because! Also, I need more fan section submissions. Bring me your tired, your poor, your Azumanga Daioh fanworks!

2005-06-02: I've posted the last Azumanga song I have on the MP3 rotation, so I'll start taking requests for next month. E-mail me for that.

2005-05-01: Well, you might have already noticed, but do I have some news for you! First off, there is a whole new section up on the site which (while admittedly very small) is very exciting to me: the Fan Section. There, you can view works like fanart, fanfics, cosplay, etc, that have been submitted by visitors to the site. You can also, of course, submit your own fan works for display! Second of all, I have done the usual update for the MP3 section this month. I've also finally archived the news, so 2004 news is now viewable on a separate page linked below. Minor errata include fixing a couple typos and updating a couple of links, as they have moved. Last, but definitely not least, I want to thank Katana from Numbnuts Unite for making me a congratulations banner:

2005-04-01: MP3s have been updated for April. In other news, I am lazy. Too bad.

2005-03-01: So, yeah, that new section is still coming soon. In the meantime, March MP3s! Also, Sata Andagi! has broken 10k hits. Hooray! :) Also also, actual Azumanga Daioh news down below!

2005-02-01: February MP3s are up. Look for a new section coming soon! And soon as in actually soon, not like years or something.

2005-01-01: Happy 2005 to everybody! The contest is over, and the two most wanted songs are posted up on the MP3 page. Go check it out! As for the site, I might actually have time to do something with it. Uhh, if I also have the motivation. So we shall see.

Azumanga Daioh News

2005-10-01: The Azumanga Daioh thinpak boxset has been released in region 1 now. All 26 episodes (no extras) on five DVDs for cheap. Check it out if you don't already own the artbox set.

2005-08-02: It's been a while since anything has been in this section, even though there is some musical news to report. The Utaimasho! (translated to "Let's Sing") vocal collection has been released in the USA! Somehow I missed it, but it's out, with fully translated titles and everything. Don't worry; the music's still in Japanese. :P

2005-03-01: The first Azumanga Daioh soundtrack will be released in the USA on March 8! Here's the Amazon link. I hope that this bodes well for the release of Utaimasho! and the Tribute to Azumanga Daiou albums. Then again, if that happens, it would make my MP3 rotation a little more in the gray area with the law. Oh well, we must Kaze no Iro March on forward!

2005-01-01: This is more Kiyohiko Azuma news than just Azumanga Daioh, but his current manga, Yotsubato!, has been licensed in the USA by ADV Manga and will begin releasing in June. Hooray! You can currently preorder the first two volumes from Amazon.
