Better known as: Kagura
Kagura is an athlete through and through. She is a member of the swim team and very dedicated to it, not to mention very good as well. She doesn't join up with the girls until the second year, but she has already encountered Sakaki-san in the yearly athletics festival and aims to be her rival, which doesn't work out too well after she discovers that Sakaki isn't really interested in much competition. Kagura seems somewhat of a tomboy, though, in reality, she does have a softer side that sometimes peeks its way through.
Kagura-san is poor in her studies but does not slack off like Tomo-chan. These two combined with Osaka-san actually form a pretty friendly, fun-loving group when not being accused of being bonkuras. Kagura is always up for some fun, but she also knows the value of training and practice to her swimming. She spends a lot of her time working on that, even gaining a noticable swimsuit tan.
Kagura has a helpful and friendly side and can be very thoughtful and considerate. She enjoys the time she spends with her friends, getting along well with everyone, though sometimes causing discomfort without knowing it (when doodling while talking to Sakaki, for example). Overall, she develops some strong bonds with the girls, despite being a year behind in the friendship.
