Not much is known about this elusive, yellow creature. He is the unofficial mascot of the series, popping up in very random places, including several of Sakaki-san's dreams. In Sakaki's dreams, he reveals himself to be the father of Chiyo-chan, and a cat, although a fake one (he later becomes angry about being thought of as a fake cat).
Chiyo Chichi has many strange powers, but most used is his power of flight. He flies or floats everywhere and can also shift colors according to his feelings, like a strange, misshapen mood ring. He likes to listen to others' problems and has an unexplained dislike of the color red. In a world of randomness, Chiyo Chichi is about as random as there is. His accomplishments include, but are not limited to, both pitching and hitting for the Tokyo Giants, being Santa Claus, and rescuing Chiyo-chan from kidnappers.
